The SIRP&DC Micro-Loan (MLP) program consists of dollars made available by Rural Development for the purpose of assisting with the region’s small business borrower’s needs. The dollars are to be used for eligible projects within the five counties serviced by Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission. These funds will be used to offer financing of potential high growth or job creating businesses when private financing has been denied or the amount desired cannot be acquired through a private lending institution. These dollars provide a source of low interest, fixed rate financing, and strives to fill a financing gap created by the District’s small lending institutions.
